We are proud to be a member of the

National Children's Alliance

The Children's Advocacy Center for Horry & Georgetown Counties

  • 1 in 4 girls and 1 in 6 boys are sexually abused before the age of 18

  • About 95% of victims know their perpetrators

  • About 90% never tell

  • The average age of children seen at the CRC  is 9

  • Approximately 300 children are assessed each year for sexual assault at the Children's Recovery Center.

Children are often seen, but not heard. The Children's Recovery Center wants to give children a voice to assist them in beginning the healing process after being victimized by a sexual or physical assault.

The Power to Effect Change

At Children's Recovery Center, we never lose sight of what drives our efforts: Dedicated people who are ready to make change happen now.

Help by Donating Today

At Children's Recovery Center we are working to create hope and opportunity for each child  we see as they move from victim to survivor.  But we can only do it with your help.  It takes a village.  Join with us in our mission and donate now.

Grand Strand Witches Night
October 15, 2016

For the past ten years, each October the witches of the Grand Strand gather to celebrate the changing seasons with food and spirits. They dust off our black hats and explore the fantastic restaurants of the Murrells Inlet Marshwalk.

In 2015 for their  first fundraising endeavor, with the help of individuals and businesses across the Grand Strand, the witches raised over $3,300.00 for Help4Kids, a local non-profit organization.

The Children's Recovery Center is happy to announce that we will be the charity benefiting from the kindess of the Grand Strand Witches in 2016.  Check back here for more details to come!
